Catalogue terminology - Useful information

Without prejudice to the provisions of the Conditions of Sale, the statements regarding the author, the attribution, the origin, the period, the provenance, and the conditions of the lots in the catalog are to be considered as a personal opinion of the experts and possibly consulted and not a fact.

The Auction House is waived from any responsibility regarding the origin and description of the lots present in the catalogs, brochures and any other illustrative material, and does not issue any guarantee (direct or indirect) about the state, attribution, authenticity, the provenance of the lots, whose sole guarantor and responsibility remains exclusively the principal seller, also towards the bidders and the buyer. The auctions are preceded by the viewing of the lots, in order to allow the interested parties a careful and thorough examination of the authenticity, state of conservation, origin, type and quality of the same, on which only the bidders and the buyer assume all risk and responsibility.

It is understood that the following terms used in the descriptions of the lots, as well as any other indication or illustration, must be considered purely indicative and not binding, and cannot generate reliance of any kind in the bidders and the buyer.

Defects and Restorations:

According to our non-binding opinion the goods sold at auction, as they are antique or in any case used, are very often subject to restoration and/or replacement. This indication will be reported only in cases where the interventions of such restorations and defects significantly compromise the state of the goods

Dimensions:

The dimensions supplied are height first, followed by width, are expressed in cm. and when referred to paintings have to be considered unframed.
