"Portrait of Ferdinand II de 'Medici in arms", oil on canvas with an octagonal shape without frame. The work is reintelata. Wood's examination of the lamp shows minor restoration intervals and slight falls in color, particularly one at the bottom right. The painting represents Ferdinando II de 'Medici, Grand Duke of Tuscany between 1621 and 1670, in armor with, in the foreground, the honor of the Order of St. Stephen, Pope and martyr, of whom the Florentine nobleman was decorated. The Flemish painter, who worked extensively in Florence for the grand-ducal family, made numerous portraits of Ferdinand. The work presents the inscription "Opera di Susterman Roma" in the back frame., 78x66 cm.
