A German ivory tankard

allover finely decorated with high reliefs of fauns, putti and female figures with goats and wine branches. The cover is decorated with a bacchic scene and the handle is modelled as a Siren framed by foliage. The tankard is standing on three goat hoof feet. Bibliography: TARDY - Les Ivoires 1977.
