biography
Sergio Sarri is an artist born in Turin in 1938, whose painting career began in the early 1960s. After attending painting courses in Bern and Paris, he developed an artistic research focused on the relationship between man and machine, a theme he explored starting in 1965 following a trip to the United States. His work includes acrylics on canvas and mixed techniques, reflecting an absurdist painting style with a strong focus on mechanical and technological evolution. Throughout his career, he exhibited in numerous Italian galleries, including Galleria Tornabuoni in Florence and Galleria Vinciana in Milan, and participated in awards such as the Premio San Fedele in 1967. In the 1980s, he also engaged in experimental cinema and created comics published in magazines like Corto Maltese and Comic Art. From 1994 to 1997, he taught Artistic Anatomy at the Brera Academy in Milan.
