Luigi Boille

Luigi Boille, born Sante Luigi Boille (Pordenone, 1926 – Rome, 2015), was a prominent Italian painter, recognized as one of the masters of European Informal painting. He trained artistically in Rome, graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1949 and earning a degree in Architecture from La Sapienza University in 1950. From 1953, he worked as a painter between Rome and Paris, distinguished by a baroque and informal style marked by an original use of color and texture. His works have been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows across Europe and the world, establishing his international reputation.
