biography
Concetto Pozzati was an Italian painter known for his works that combined elements of surrealism and pop art. Born in Vo' on December 1, 1935, Pozzati studied in Bologna and later in Paris, specializing in advertising graphics and architecture. Initially, he approached informal art, later moving towards artistic figuration inspired by mass media. He participated in numerous international exhibitions, including the Venice Biennale in 1964, 1972, 1982, 2007, and 2009. Additionally, he exhibited in prestigious venues such as Palazzo Grassi in Venice and Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. Pozzati was also the artistic director of the Casa del Mantegna in Mantua and taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. His works have been sold in various auction houses, including Colasanti.
