From the very beginning it distinguished itself through exceptional diamonds, light and intricate craftsmanship, and an innovative aesthetic that blended delicacy with boldness.
The turning point came in 1893, when Boucheron became the first jeweler to move to Place Vendôme, foreseeing the potential of what would become the world’s most emblematic square for high jewelry. The boutique in the Hôtel de Nocé quickly became a destination for aristocrats, collectors, and international figures, all drawn to the modern elegance of its creations.
Throughout the 20th century, the maison solidified its legend thanks to its celebrated clients—such as Ava Gardner and the Maharani of Indore—and through a style that evolved while never losing its identity. Animal motifs, feathers, serpents, and fluid lines entered the house’s creative vocabulary, accompanied by constant technical refinement in stone-setting.
Today, Boucheron continues to reinterpret its heritage through contemporary and iconic collections, maintaining its ateliers in the same historic location. The result is a rare balance between innovation and tradition, making the maison one of the most distinctive and poetic voices in French high jewelry.
